Twitter Tool Twubs.com Launched by 360hubs

RIVERSIDE, Calif. (April 27, 2009) — 360hubs, an award-winning developer of turnkey Web 2.0 business collaboration solutions, today announced that it has developed a Twitter groups and search tool called www.twubs.com. Once entering the Twubs’ site, users can search for groups through hashtags used on Twitter.  After selecting groups they’re interested in, Twubs provides a central community-driven hub or “Twub” where they can access real time tweets, twitpics, and videos without having to click on an external link. Users can further personalize the Twub by creating a description for the hashtag related to the Twub and pull any content from any feed such as RSS or site such as Twitter, YouTube, Vimeo or twitpic into one collaborative environment. This capability makes it quicker and easier to find relevant content for a favorite event or group, or other people with similar interests.  Users can search for movie reviews, restaurants, travel destinations, items for sale, jobs and more in real-time from real people  — all in one place. They can also embed any Twub into their social networking site that accepts Java script.  Twubs.com also recommends users to tweets they should follow based on their respective areas of interest.

Twubs will introduce Twitter users to “Meta-Hashtags,” a classification system for hashtags (#__) that will allow them to identify a purpose for a hashtag and then quickly and easily organize content around it.  Twub Meta-Hashtags can be used to find and post jobs (#jp-), find movie reviews (#rm-), hot buys (#hb-), items for sale (#4s-) or other items.  Meta-Hashtags currently being used include:

#content – standard hashtag

#4s-item name – item for sale

#jp-job title – job posting

#hb-product name – hot buy

#rr-restaurant name – restaurant review

#rm-movie name – movie review

#re-event name – event review

“Until we created Twubs, there wasn’t a Twitter tool that allowed users to both participate in community driven groups and aggregate other social media content automatically.  We then took it a step further by introducing Meta-Hashtags to make tasks such as job searches, selling products and reviewing movies and restaurants much easier,” said Tony Ferraro, president of 360hubs.  “We’re thrilled with what we’ve created with Twubs and very excited about the apps we have coming.  In the words of Guy Kawasaki, ‘deliver and then enhance’.”
