360hubs™ Develops Internet Church Campus for Barefoot Church
Date: March 30, 2009
RIVERSIDE, Calif. and NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (March 30, 2009) —360hubs, a developer of social networking solutions for churches and businesses, today announced that it has developed an Internet church campus or “iCampus” for Barefoot Church in North Myrtle Beach, SC. Using its 360Internet Campus platform, 360hubs developed www.barefootchurchlive.com, which provides a live streaming video feed of services lead by Pastor Clay NeSmith. The iCampus also features a live help desk for member participants, live chat and a notes section where users can take notes during the sermon and email the notes to themselves. Thirty minutes prior to each live service, the church will host a special chat room discussion to prepare members’ hearts for worship, discuss current church events and play member games to win prizes. After the service, the hosts will follow up on key message points and answer questions.
“As fellow believers, 360hubs truly understood and delivered our iCampus vision to create an honest and open atmosphere where members can worship, study, exchange ideas and hopefully have a life-changing experience,” said Clay Nesmith, lead pastor for Barefoot Church.
To participate in a service at www.barefootchurchlive.com, users must first register as a church member. Live online services are held Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m., Saturdays at 6 p.m. and Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. EST. Podcasts and archived videos of prior services will also be available online.
“iCampuses provide a great opportunity for churches of any size to extend their message beyond traditional borders and reach out to an online audience,” said Tony Ferraro, president of 360hubs and lay minister for Riverside-based Sandals Church. “iCampuses can help unite congregations, build relationships, grow churches, and spread God’s Word to millions of online users. Barefoot Church recognized this opportunity and we are thrilled to be executing on their vision and ministry.”
360hubs will continue to work with Barefoot Church as it phases in an iCommunity over the next few weeks. This will include a forum and blogosphere to facilitate an open exchange between members, including the ability to chat with friends, join small groups, post family pictures and meet people from around the world.
